      Current events and news

We are pleased to announced that Dr. Dr. Martin Balluch gave a talk in Heidelberg on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, in Heidelberg. His talk focused on the natural science argument for animal rights. The video is available now.

We were able to convince Dr. Dr. Martin Balluch, chairman of the Association against Animal Factories, of giving an interview to the IAT. It can be accessed via www.tierethikblog.de

Our corresponding member Judith Benz-Schwarzburg will give a talk in the Erasmushaus Tübingen on January 29, 2009 at 8p.m. with the title "How are we dealing with our closest relatives? On the situation of the great apes in nature."

As you probably know, some of our local members have to reduce their involvement with the IAT due to increasing work load in their jobs, their PhD and their Master's research. For this reason, there will not be any talks in the near future.
Instead, we will focus on our website until sufficiently many new members have joined the IAT. In particular, we will continue our blog
www.tierethikblog.de . We ask both members and non-members to support this project by means of articles and comments.

Furthermore, all the videos we took during the talks will be made available at www.vorlesungen-tierrecht.de and www.ag-tierethik.de/vortraege.htm . Additionally, we have made them available on YouTube at www.youtube.com/user/rainerebert
